Artist's Comments

After some thinking and trying to start making advertising photos, I finally got the chance to start making something.

Though the weather wasn't exactly as I wanted it, I might re-make this photo when the weather allows it.

Until then, I'll stay with this...

As for an advertising photo may not be the best one, I can't see much of the car. But as for an artistic photo I liked it. The headlights, the model, the moon, the distant lights; very good.
Did you tried to use light behind the car?

Hey thanks for the critic. No I didn't use any light behind the car. Besides the flash I used to freeze the model and a reflector for the front rims, all the lights were natural.

How would've u done this photo if it was for advertising?

One of the strongest motives that lead men to art and science is escape from everyday life with its painful crudity and hopeless dreariness, from the fetters of one's own ever-shifting desires.

I'm not a professional photographer, but... if the intent is to show the car I would had used more light directed to the front and side so we could see its lines; and maybe a source of light on the back, like people do in studios, to detach the car from the dark background, but I don't know if it would work. Probably with the image complete dark and just some parts lit.

But now I'm thinking that maybe you were trying to give a mystesious look on the photography. Then I think just a little darker and it would be great.

Yeah actually I wanted to have that mestrious look alright. But I got what you meant with the using lights to show the lines of the car. I'll have to go back and try to make that photo again some day.

Thx a lot for the critic! :)
